The bearing has deep groove geometry for supporting both radial and axial loads and high speeds. The races are made of chrome steel for durability and resistance to deformity under heavy loads. The bearing meets the Annual Bearing Engineering Committee (ABEC) 1 standard for tolerances. The bearing is open on both sides for lubricating in place.

Spherical roller bearings can support axial forces in both directions and high radial forces. They are designed for very high load carrying capacity and, since they have the maximum possible number of large and particularly long barrel rollers, are also suitable for the heaviest loads.
